SPRING/RAINY SEASON: During this period trees blossom, flowers bloom and fresh morning dews settles on plants. The rain moistens the soil so that seeds sown can sprout and blossom. This is the season of extraordinary manifestation of the power of God in your life as a person. God exhibits His glory through you. Those visions, ideas and dreams you have nursed for a while break forth during springtime, according to Habakkuk 2:3 “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” It is the appointed time for you when you blossom and that is why no matter how others try to pull you down, destroy or smear your glory it proves ineffective and have no effect on you rather they become frustrated trying to cover your shine.
When you are experiencing this in your life know that you are in your spring season. That is why it is important not to envy anyone in their springtime or trying to incapacitate them or blow out their candle will result in you getting burnt alive or incurring a heart attack because you are fighting with God who has placed them in their spring period and it is dangerous to fight whom God has blessed. They are in their time yours will come if you patiently and faithfully wait.
When you are in your spring season, remember to make good use of it. God’s Glory is without season but if you play with it, you will go out of season. In this season lines will be fallen for you in pleasant places according to Psalm 16:6 “The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; yes, I have a good inheritance.” However, be watchful in this season for it is easy to forget God and attribute your success to yourself and by your strength. These time things are going well, plans are being actualised and everything looks green, you must not forget that trees can be green without fruits on them according to Mark 11:13 “And seeing from afar a fig tree having leaves, He went to see if perhaps He would find something on it. When He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs.” You are expected to bear fruits with all that shine and glory.
When a flower blossom, you can perceive the fragrance from a distance, in the same manner, you must let the aroma or fragrance of your glory/shine be felt by others, it is supposed to rub off on those around you that way you shine more. If you are blooming yet none ever felt or perceived your fragrance, something is amiss. Those around you should attest to the goodness of the fruit unless you want to put yourself in the position of the tree in Mark 11:20-21 “Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. And Peter, remembering, said to Him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away.” If this happens you will wither beyond recognition even before autumn sets in.
However, in Mark 11:13, the tree was green and there is no fruit thereon because it is not the season for the fig tree to bloom. This is what happens when you rush things because you think your time is gone or impatient. You may look glorious, but you cannot bear fruit signifying mantle without anointing, giving people expectations and hope yet causing disappointments, beware and hang on for your spring in its due time.
Your spring season represents a time you are being nourished and watered. It is a training period, unfortunately, many detest it. If you are not fully watered and well-fed, you will be malnourished and dehydrated, no matter how you pretend your flaws will show either in action or words.
Therefore, in this season there is no need to rush or take shortcuts, you need to patiently enjoy every nourishment that comes with it. You are defined as who you will become. Furthermore, it is an incubation period, allow yourself that time to avoid being a half-baked individual or Christian carrying mantle without honour.
The rainy season is always long, and it cuts across other seasons, which means even while in the other seasons you will need to learn, be watered, and fed occasionally to avoid a spiritual drought.
SUMMER SEASON: This time represents your harvest period. When you approach this season all your hard works, efforts are coming back to you while you are resting. It is a season of your rest. A period of vacation where you are living out of what you have accumulated or put into the other seasons, and now you are harvesting with ease. This is a season of checks and balances when you realise if you developed, planted, or secured anything at all. During this season you bloom as if you are in the spring season, but the bloom is because of your springtime reserve. It is a time of stock-taking. A time you ask yourself questions such as:
- What did you build?
- What shade of legacy did you create?
- What impact did you make?
This is a season where you reap what you sowed; it represents the legacy you secured. Were you a blessing or a curse to people around you while you were in your other seasons? Whatever is your answer, in this season answers to the above questions comes home. This could equally represent your ageing season according to Ecclesiastes 12, a time when you may no longer capable to work or do anything again.
In all the seasons, one thing is vital, not to dwell longer than you should in one season it could be dangerous, and you become obsolete or unfruitful, that is why seasons come and go, it is unfortunate how most people decide to remain in one for a lifetime. The extra sun will get you sunburned, lots of cold will cause you frostbites, excessive rain will result to flood and drowning, lots of littered leaves will damage the beauty of the environment and cause blocked drainage, therefore it is only natural that you move on when it is time.
Furthermore, these seasons represent the things you experience in various periods of your lifetime. And currently, you may be in any of the seasons; struggling in faith, career issues, marital issues, relationships, and bad friendship, addictions, celebrations, vacations, retirement, etc. just know that they are for a season especially the difficult times, and it will change soon. Do not allow it to overwhelm you. You need to stay strong to survive the tough seasons. Again, do not dwell too long in a place; those who do may likely get destroyed by the season because they could not handle it.
You may also be in a season where things are falling apart, mental breakdown, family breakdown etc, this is autumn things that need to stay together are falling apart, understand that as a child of God, nothing happens in your life without God’s approval, God may allow certain things to happen because He wants to rebuild, repair and reform. If a seed does not fall on the ground and wither it will not sprout according to John 12:24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.” He is planning something better out of the same seed. This should be a consolation to you.
Sometimes when things are falling apart,
they may actually be falling into place

In conclusion, Jesus Christ is there for you in all the seasons, seek him and He will be found of you. The key is to recognize which season you are in, only then can you overcome and navigate through your season gracefully. All the seasons are part of God’s plan for your life to fulfil purpose and destiny. Therefore, you must patiently live out these seasons as they come and fulfil each of their purposes. Remember, God’s love, presence, mercy is without season, so make use of them.
Understanding your season will aid you in not wasting time or energy on frivolities. When you do, the most divine thing is to make good use of it, be kind to yourself and those around you. It is unimportant to complain, agitate or rush into or out of it. Beware not to come out of any season powerless and weak.
Do not allow any season to drain you, no matter how difficult it appears, learn from the difficulty as you go. You are being refined, like gold that goes through the burning furnace and comes out beautiful, strong with immense value on high demand. After the severe season, you will come to be what the scriptures describe in Isaiah 62:12 “And they shall call them The Holy People, The Redeemed of the LORD; And you shall be called Sought Out, A City Not Forsaken.” Each season maintains a purpose, discover it, and achieve it, and you will be delighted you did.
